For a new database, create a project in your own Neon account, then connect it through your workspace’s Connections page. Follow Connect Neon.
New shared and self-hosted PostgreSQL orders are retired in the current service. Existing database access, credentials, backups and maintenance remain available where configured.

Connect a new Neon project

Create the project and configure its database in Neon. Neon bills your account and applies its provider limits. In Console, connecting an API key lets an authorized workspace administrator view the projects available to that key. When your operator has installed and enabled the Neon database plugin, open a Spitzli Cloud project and use its Neon database offering to select an existing project, branch, database, role and endpoint. The first release supports attachments in Frankfurt (aws-eu-central-1). It provides safe settings, branch inventory, protected connection-URI reveal and local detach. Saving a provider key alone does not install or enable this offering. Database provisioning, SQL access and automatic application bindings are separate capabilities. Configure application connection details through the supported application environment workflow; keep them server-side and verify TLS. See Connect Neon for permissions, credential handling and the distinction between detaching a database and disconnecting its provider key.

Open an existing managed database service

  1. Select the correct workspace and open Databases.
  2. Choose a database you are permitted to access.
  3. Open its database browser and wait for connection and schema discovery.
If startup fails or times out, use the displayed retry action. Repeated failure can require an operator to check the gateway, database state or access grant. Do not change credentials or delete the service to clear an uncertain state. These database-browser controls belong to existing managed services. A Neon plugin attachment does not enable the SQL browser or promise a managed backup service.

Existing service maintenance

Use the service’s available controls for credentials, backups and supported lifecycle changes. Check its reported state before connecting an application. Transaction-pool connections do not keep one server connection across transactions; use a suitable connection mode for tools that require session state. Backup availability is service-specific. Review the displayed backup configuration and recovery window. A retained volume is not a backup, and stopping a database does not necessarily release storage or end its charges.
Deletion and permanent data purge are separate actions. Export required data and review the exact deletion preview before confirming a destructive operation.
