The canonical source is the docs/ directory in spitzli/cloud. Public pages use English MDX. Navigation and branding live in docs.json.

Make a focused update

  1. Check the current implementation and its actual deployment status.
  2. Update the guide where the reader performs the task, including limits and failure recovery.
  3. Update affected references, examples and navigation together.
  4. Validate the complete site and review the docs-only diff before publishing.
Keep account identity, workspace authorization and provider credentials distinct. Describe build completion separately from rollout health, and OCI publication separately from signed registry admission and installation. Existing protocol URLs must not be renamed merely to match product branding.

Validate and preview

Use Node.js 24. From the documentation root:
validate checks the content and runs a strict local site build. It does not publish. To inspect a local rendering:
See the official Mintlify development guide when updating the CLI. Recheck commands against the installed version before changing the pin.

Add a page

Give each page a title and description in YAML frontmatter, use a kebab-case filename, and add its extensionless path to the right navigation group. Use root-relative internal links such as /guides/byok-neon and language tags on code fences. Use built-in Steps for procedures, Columns and Card for entry points, and callouts for consequential limits. Prefer short tasks over copied implementation logs. Include only example identifiers and synthetic data in public examples.

Refresh the Mail reference

From the repository root:
The exporter uses the retained Mail API builder and supplies readable operation titles and the documentation API origin. Do not edit generated paths, authentication or schemas by hand. The generated contract does not prove native endpoint parity or that a workspace has an enabled sending connection. Keep the public playground disabled unless live request behavior is deliberately reviewed.

Keep internal material private

The .mintignore file excludes architecture, operations, plans/specifications, verification, handovers, UX records, raw planning notes and maintenance scripts. Do not link public pages to those local paths. Hiding a page from navigation does not prevent access to its URL.

Publish from the existing project

Verify the Mintlify project’s repository, production branch and documentation directory before publishing. For this repository the intended source is spitzli/cloud, branch main, directory docs; an existing GitHub redirect does not confirm that the active Mintlify project uses it. Review and publish the documentation change through the established project connection. Keep unrelated application and infrastructure changes out of the documentation release. Check the real custom domain, navigation and representative pages afterwards; local validation and an accepted Git push alone are not proof that readers received the update. Our own GitHub CI is required to use Blacksmith. Record the observed runner region and qualify the reviewed workflow before enabling it; EU-only placement has been waived for this CI scope. The migration remains separate from editing these pages.
