# Get started

> Sign in, secure your account, choose your workspace and take your first action.

You need an approved account and access to a workspace. If you have neither, [request access](https://console.spitzli.cloud/waitlist) or ask the workspace administrator for an invitation. Joining the waitlist does not immediately grant access.

**1. Sign in with your approved email**

Open [Console](https://console.spitzli.cloud). If you have not set a password for the current login, select **Forgot password?** and use the single-use link sent to your confirmed email. Accept any workspace invitation as part of account setup.

**2. Complete your security setup**

Complete any multi-factor challenge shown after sign-in. Open **My account** to manage your password, passkeys, MFA and recovery codes. Operator access requires the platform's additional security checks; a workspace role does not grant operator access.

**3. Choose your workspace**

Check the workspace name before making changes. Your role and enabled services determine what you can see and manage. If the workspace is missing, ask its administrator to check your membership.

**4. Choose your first task**

Open an assigned website to edit content, manage an existing application, or open **Connections** to link a provider. Creating a project or saving a connection does not deploy a workload automatically.

For a repository-based application, read [Git and deployments](https://docs.spitzli.cloud/guides/git-deployments.md) before connecting a repository. Provider credentials and supported build strategies have separate activation requirements.

## Before changing a resource

Check its workspace, project, current state and displayed limits. Keep secrets in private credential inputs. If a request times out, inspect its operation before repeating it; a lost response does not mean the change failed.

See [plans and limits](https://docs.spitzli.cloud/guides/plans-and-billing.md) or [troubleshooting](https://docs.spitzli.cloud/guides/troubleshooting.md) when an action is unavailable.
